Labor Relations Investigator

Responsibilities

Under the direction of [RCC Operations Manager/Labor Relations Manager], the Labor Relations Investigator is responsible for planning and conducting investigations involving a wide variety of areas including Title IX/Sexual Violence Sexual Harassment, Discrimination, Whistleblower complaints, Retaliation complaints, Policy/Law/Regulation compliance and general workplace/HR investigations.
This person will conduct full investigations and/or assist in the investigation of matters pertaining to all areas noted and will perform independent analysis of investigation findings and provides reports and recommendations.
Our Labor Relations Investigators will collaborate/partner with Employee Relations, Employee Concerns, and other departments as necessary to facilitate resolution of complaints when appropriate.

Qualifications

Bachelor' s degree in related area or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Degree in related area preferred (i.e. criminal justice)
7+ years of progressive experience in employee/labor relations complaint investigations (or related experience).
Construction and union environment experience preferred. Experience working in a nuclear environment strongly preferred.
Must have the ability to lead and conduct all aspects of complex workplace investigations.
Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations (e.g. DOL, EEOC, Title IX, FMLA/CFRA, ADA, etc).


Strong analytical skills to interpret and dissect complex issues.
Strong written communication skills to write clear, concise and logical reports, correspondence and summaries.
Strong oral communication skills to effectively convey and explain information to all levels of employees and management. Strong skills in effectively conducting investigatory interviews.
Strong interpersonal skills; with ability to listen well, demonstrate sensitivity to all parties, and facilitate resolutions.
Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with other organizations including customer personnel and regulatory agencies.
MS Office Suite proficiency (MS Word, Outlook, Power Point, etc).
